A standing room only crowd welcomed Governor Bill Lee to Lewisburg on Friday morning. The meeting took place at the Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association Building. Governor Lee was joined by State Representative Rick Tillis and State Senator Shane Reeves on the podium. The first to speak was State Representative Rick Tillis as he welcomed everyone to the town hall meeting. Next to speak was State Senator Shane Reeves. Senator Reeves echoed what Representative Tillis said in welcoming everyone and introduced Governor Lee to the crowd. Governor Lee addressed the crowd on several topics including; the importance of public schools, the state budget and the fiscal responsibility of his administration, how to do a better job at educating prisoners so that they can have skills when their sentence is finished, and how he and the state government have been able to work together to get legislation passed that will keep Tennessee on the right track going forward. Governor Lee, Representative Tillis, and Senator Reeves also took several questions from the crowd before the meeting adjourned.
