|Tom Turchetta named MCHS Head Football Coach|
Director of Schools Roy Dukes and Marshall County High School principal Keith Stacey have announced Tom Turchetta as the head football coach at MCHS. Coach Turchetta comes to Marshall County from Columbia Central High School where he served on a volunteer basis as defensive coordinator. While there, the Columbia team took the Region 8-AAA Championship and was State 5A Runner-Up.
Coach Turchetta’s past athletic assignments include Associate Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at the University of Wyoming, Assistant Football Coach at University of Pittsburgh, and Assistant Head Football Coach at Kentucky State University, to name a few.
“I am very excited and consider it a distinct honor and privilege to be named the head football coach at Marshall County High School,” Coach Turchetta said. “A lot of hard work and dedication from both the coaches and players will be put forth to return Marshall County football to a competitive level. We intend to run a player-oriented program that will be defined by discipline, aggressiveness and a physical style of play.
“My hope is that the Lewisburg community will continue to rally behind our current team members and support these outstanding athletes and coaches.”
