The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting driver license roadside safety checkpoints during these weeks in January 2013 in Marshall County: January 4, 2013 5 pm State Route 50 at the 2 mile marker January 8, 2013 8 pm State Route 88 West at the 2 mile marker January 11, 2013 11 am State Route 64 west at the 2 mile marker January 15, 2013 9 am US Highway 431 at the 19 mile marker January 25, 2013 11 am State Route 50 at the 2 mile marker Recognizing the danger presented to the public by unqualified drivers, Troopers will concentrate their efforts on vehicles being operated by drivers who violate the driver license laws of Tennessee. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has found these driver license roadside safety checkpoints to be an effective means of enforcing driver license laws of Tennessee while ensuring the protection of all motorist. |
