Red Cross Battle Of The Badges Blood Drive

It is time for the Red Cross Battle of the Badges Blood Drive in Marshall County! This means the Lewisburg Police Department will “battle” with local firefighters to see who can give the most blood.

Firefighters, members of the Sheriff’s Department and law enforcement officers give time to the community; they give a sense of security to residents; and they often give blood too. As local heroes to many, their courage in the face of adversity bolsters people in need.

But the Battle of the Badges competition isn’t just for police officers and fire fighters; anyone can get involved in the fun by donating blood and voting for a favorite emergency department. But choose your vote carefully, it might just come up the next time you’re trying to get out of that speeding ticket or when need to get your cat out of your neighbors tree!

Join the Battle of the Badges and donate at the Marshall County Blood Drive on Monday, April, 29 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 150 East Church St. in Lewisburg.

When this contest is over, the Battle of the Badges winner will receive a plaque and be named Best Badge of Marshall County. But most importantly, hospital patients throughout the Tennessee Valley Region are also winners because they get the life-saving blood they need to survive.

Last year, after months of planning, weeks of smack-talk and dozens of blood donations, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was the champion of the Marshall County Battle of the Badges blood drive competition. Their outstanding efforts helped save many lives in the community. And now, the battle continues!

Anyone can become a hero during Battle of the Badges.  This is your chance.  Give blood.
