Due to unseasonably warm weather, Middle Tennessee has been hit with an invasion of ladybugs/Japanese beatles.
Ladybugs serve many useful functions, but at this time of year and in these quantities, they can be nuisance pests and threaten the health of people with asthma or allergies.
Marshall Farmers Co-op has responded to the crisis by stocking up on several different insecticides that are effective against ladybugs. They also carry caulk for keeping the ladybugs out of the house in the first place.
Co-op is located at 615 South Ellington Parkway and is open 7:30-5 Monday through Saturday.
