COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Maury Regional Health (MRH) invites community members who are serving as loved ones’ primary caregivers to attend a free education event about the significance of self-care on Friday, May 3, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Maury Regional Annex.
During the seminar, speakers will stress the importance of remembering to take care of oneself while caring for another, beginning with a presentation led by Stokes about “care for the caregiver.” MRH Chaplain Lyndall Propst, MA, will also discuss how caregivers can continue to satisfy their emotional and spiritual needs, while Carla Jones, LMSW, will share information about community resources available to caregivers. The morning will conclude with a local caregiver’s personal story of caring for a loved one.
Registration is not required to attend this free event, which is located at the Maury Regional Annex (1223 Trotwood Ave.) across from Maury Regional Medical Center.
