On Saturday, February 21st, Office Oliver was dispatched to 1440 Mooresville Highway at Nick’s Liquor Store in reference to possible shots fired in the area. Before Office Oliver and other officers got to the scene, it was dispatched that the parties had left the scene. When Officer Oliver got to the scene 5 shell casings from a handgun were found in the parking lot between Nick’s Liquors and “The Chicken Store”. At this time Officer Olver and Officer Mojica went to Nick’s Liquor to inquire about video from their cameras.
The video showed a subject that was identified as Kel Greer and another male Carsen Keiler approach Jontae Tears. About a minute later, Jontae returns and turns onto Old Columbia Road and witnesses said shots were heard on the side of “The Chicken Store”. Officers were able to find 2 shell casings on Old Columbia Road near the store.
