The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting sobriety roadside safety
checkpoints during the week of February 27th on STATE ROUTE 50 at mile marker 0 in Marshall County starting at 8:00 p.m.

Impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16,000 people and injures
305,000 people every year in the United States. Troopers will evaluate drivers for
signs of alcohol or drug impairment. Troopers will target those who operate a
vehicle while impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed
while ensuring the protection of all motorists.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol recognizes that sobriety checkpoints are highly
visible and effective tools in the battle against impaired driving.

The Greater First Baptist Church located at 512 6th. Avenue North, Lewisburg TN. will be open on Tuesday January 27th and Wednesday January 28th from 6 pm till 7am. The McKnight Center of the First United Methodist Church located at 419 West Church Street in Lewisburg will be open on Thursday January 29th, Friday January 30th, and Saturday January 31st all nights again from 6 pm till 7 am the next morning. Daytime hours will be temperature dependent.
