1. All offices of the City of Lewisburg will be closed on Monday, September 1st, 2025, in observation of the Labor Day Holiday.
2. The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold a regular monthly work session on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 E. Church Street.
3. The Industrial Development Board will hold a regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 8th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at the Historic 1st Avenue Building, located at 207 1st Ave. N.
4. The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold a Public Hearing Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, at 5:50 p.m. at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street, followed by their regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. The public hearing will be to hear comments or opinions concerning the following:

Consider approval of second reading of Ordinance 25-12, an ordinance request for rezoning property located at unaddressed Old Farmington Road (Map 057, Parcel 094.00) within the corporate limits of the City of Lewisburg, from “C-2” (Intermediate Business) to “R-2” (Medium Residential). Planning Commission gave a favorable recommendation by a vote of 5-0. Owners Chesney & Raymond Joseph Gold.

a. Consider approval of first reading of Ordinance 25-11, an Ordinance adopting of International Property Maintenance Code which will replace Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code in its entirety. (Ord. 25-11 was deferred until September Council Meeting 2025)
b. Consider approval of seconding reading of Ordinance 25-12, an ordinance request for rezoning property located at unaddressed Old Farmington Road (Map 057, Parcel 094.00) within the corporate limits of the City of Lewisburg, from “C-2” (Intermediate Business) to “R-2” (Medium Residential). 6) New Business:
a. Consider approving trade in of vehicles 1996 GMC 2500 Vin#1GTGC24RXTZ533631 and 1999 Ford F350 Vin#FDWF36L2YEA60576 which are out of service, to purchase a newer truck for Public Works.
b. Consider approval of Resolution 25-20, Lewisburg Electric System (MESTEL) resolution which sets the payments for in lieu of taxes to the City of Lewisburg for fiscal year beginning on July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026.
c. Consider approval of Resolution 25-21, a Capital Note Authorization resolution in the amount of $1,550,000.00 for capital improvement expenditures, which was prepared by the City of Lewisburg financial consultant, Mr. John Werner of Cumberland Securities.
d. Consider approval of Resolution 25-22, a resolution to establish a City Building Committee for the City of Lewisburg for future capital building projects.
e. Consider approval of Resolution 25-23, a resolution to modify the traffic control devices at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and College Street. Also, will improve the traffic flow on 2nd Avenue North.
f. Consider approval of Resolution 25-24, a resolution that will change the speed limit along State Route 373 (Mooresville Hwy) to only two speed zones. The speed limit will change at mile marker seven (7) on Mooresville Highway from current sign of 30 mph to 45 mph and the current sign of 45 mph will change to 55 mph.
g. Consider approval of Resolution 25-25, a resolution which allows the City of Lewisburg to enter into a cooperative purchasing agreement with Omnia Partners, which allows the Parks and Recreation to purchase new playground equipment.
h. Consider approval of Resolution 25-26, a resolution that allows the City of Lewisburg to make application for the Tennessee Highway Safety High Visibility Grant in the amount of $10,000.00 with no local match requirements. The grant provides funding for police officer’s overtime and purchasing equipment to support highway safety enforcement.
i. Discuss and execute the City Council’s motion that was carried out during Friday, August 22nd, 2025, Special Called meeting in regard to the City Manager.
j. Appoint a temporary City Manager for the duration of the current City Manager’s absence.

7. The Lewisburg Water & Wastewater Board will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at Lewisburg Water Department, 100 Water Street.
8. The City of Lewisburg Planning & Zoning Commission will meet in their regular session on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at the City of Lewisburg, 131 East Church Street.
9. The Lewisburg Gas Board will meet in their regular session on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at Lewisburg Gas Department, 505 North Ellington Pkwy.
