On Tuesday, at approximately 6:28 pm, Officer Oliver of the Lewisburg Police Department was dispatched to 217 White Drive for a motor vehicle collision with injuries. Upon arrival Office Oliver observed a fence and a telephone pole had been knocked over and a tan 1995 Toyota had wrecked into a set of bleachers at Joe George Field. When Officer Oliver made contact with the driver, he appeared confused about what had happened. He had no recollection of the incident. EMS was able to get him out of the vehicle and checked his blood pressure which was dangerously high. He was transported to Marshall Medical. The driver was identified as David Keith Farris, age 68 of Lewisburg.
A second vehicle was damaged as the result of debris from the first vehicle. Office Mojica, who was also on the scene, spoke with Joel Eugene Moss age 69 of Lewisburg who stated that he had hit something. Office Mojica observed damage to the front bumper of Mr. Moss’s vehicle.
