City of Lewisburg Meetings, May 2026

1. The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold a regular monthly Work Session Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 E. Church Street.

2. The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold a Budget Work Session Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 E. Church Street.

3. The Industrial Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold a regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 11th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the Historic 1st Avenue Building, located at 207 1st Ave. N.

4. The Mayor and Council of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular monthly council meeting, Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street.

5. The Lewisburg Parks & Recreation Advisory Board will hold a meeting on May 18th, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. in large conference room at Lewisburg Recreation Center 1551 Mooresville Hwy.

6. The Lewisburg Water & Wastewater Board will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at Lewisburg Water Department, 100 Water Street.

7. The City of Lewisburg Planning & Zoning Commission will meet in their regular session on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., at the City of Lewisburg, 131 East Church Street.

8. The Budget Committee for the City of Lewisburg will meet on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 E. Church Street.

9. All offices of the City of Lewisburg will be closed on Monday, May 25th, 2026, in observation of the Memorial Day Holiday.

10. The Community Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday May 26th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at the Historic 1st Avenue Building, located at 207 1st Ave. N.

11. The Lewisburg Gas Board will meet in their regular session on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., at Lewisburg Gas Department, 505 North Ellington Pkwy.

12. Lewisburg Electric System will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday May 26th, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at the Lewisburg Electric System, located at 599 West Ellington Pkwy

"In 2013, the Lewisburg Animal Shelter Volunteers began a twice-weekly program on WJJM called “Marshall County Pet Patrol”. The purpose was two-fold, first to talk about new intakes with the hope of finding their rightful owners and second, to help find adopters by describing all of our current residents in detail. The results have far exceeded our expectations, and thanks in a big way to our radio exposure our adoption rates have increased significantly. Thank you to the entire staff at WJJM, and our sponsor, Veterinary Services of Chapel Hill…together we are saving the lives of precious fur babies."
